Petrol Pumps
A petrol pump in karting is a compact fuel delivery device that supplies petrol from the tank to the carburetor. Kart engines—especially high-revving 2-stroke engines—require a steady, reliable flow of fuel to maintain performance and prevent engine lean-out. Petrol pumps (often pulse-type diaphragm pumps) use engine crankcase pressure pulses to draw fuel and deliver it at a consistent rate.
